BENTONVILLE, Ark. -Seth Glen Hane, 39, Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Northwest, in Rogers, Arkansas, from a sudden medical condition, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.
Seth was born on Oct. 15, 1984, in St. Joseph, to Sherris A. (Snyder) Hane and late Daryl L. Hane. Even though he was taken from us too soon, in his short 39 years, Seth touched many lives and made a lasting impact on all who had the good fortune to know him. With his towering stature and warm, friendly demeanor, he had a presence that lit up any room. Seth had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. His infectious laugh and smile could brighten even the darkest of days.
His greatest joy in life was his family. As a loving husband, he cherished every moment spent with his wife, Amy, who he adored beyond measure. Seth and Amy built a beautiful life together in Bentonville with their two daughters, Clara and Ellington, who were the lights of Seth’s life. Whether goofing around at home or supporting them with their activities, Seth was an unwavering presence in all of their lives.
Beyond his roles as a husband and father, he enjoyed traveling, golfing, pheasant hunting, sports, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and amassing an impressive sneaker collection that would rival any Footlocker.
In his earlier years, Seth was a multi-sport high school athlete, excelling in football, basketball and baseball. He graduated from Cameron R-I High School in 2003 and went on to attend Missouri Western State University, where he started at linebacker for the MWSU Griffon football team for three years of his collegiate playing career, earning post season honors. Seth graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, majoring in biology. After completing college, Seth pursued a career in the insurance industry where he excelled as a property claims adjuster.
Seth is survived by his wife Amy; daughters, Clara and Ellington; mother, Sherris Hane of Cameron, Missouri; sister, Cora (Betsey) Seymour and husband, Preston, of Rifle, Colorado; brother, Joel Hane and wife, Margaret and their daughter, Maeve, of St. Joseph; maternal grandmother, Ellyn Snyder, of Hamilton, Missouri; in-laws Bob and Emily (LaForge) Borovetz; sister-in-law, Julie Vaughan and husband Chris and their daughter Margot; brother-in-law, Brock Borovetz and wife Elena; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daryl Hane; and grandparents, C. Glen Hane, Helen M. Hane Durbin and E. Clayton Snyder.
Seth’s memory will not only live on through those who knew and loved him, but will continue to live through others as he was an organ donor.
Services will be held at the Cameron United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. with burial immediately following the service at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, Missouri. A visitation for friends and family will be held prior to the service from 8 to 10 a.m. A private family viewing will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
