Linda May (Boyer) Arthur, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away on July 10, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care.

Linda was born May 21, 1947, to LaVerne and Floyd Boyer, in St. Joseph.

Linda graduated from Central High School in 1965. On April 22, 1966, Linda married the love of her life William Ray “Bill” Arthur. Together Bill and Linda had three sons. Linda worked in the banking industry for several years. She worked at Ladies Auxiliary gift shop at Heartland Health Hospital.

Linda loved to cook, listen to country music, traveling and make memories with family. Linda was always the biggest fan at her sons’ and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was the story teller, keeper of family history and connections. Linda was always thinking of and caring for others. She was happiest when her family was together, gathered around her kitchen table, laughing and sharing memories. More than anything, Linda loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Terry Boyer; and sister-in-law, Sharon Boyer.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Arthur; sons, Kevin (Georgette), Kraig (Kristie), Kirk (Tracy); grandchildren, Andrew (Gina) Arthur, Amanda (Nick) Myers, Hillary (Bobby) Wichmann, Michael (Heaven) Arthur, Tyler(Maeve) Arthur, Chris Chamberlain, Brandon Chamberlain, Matthew Fletcher, Brandon (Sarah) Fletcher, Heather (Justin) Summy and Marissa (Tyson) Moran; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Dianne Dewey (Corky); sister-in-law, Glenda (Andrew) McManus; and one niece and four nephews.

The family will receive friends noon to 1 p.m. Monday, July 15, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. Interment Kerns-Freeman Cemetery.
