DEKALB, Mo. — Aneia G. Marriott, 56, of DeKalb, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, in a St. Joseph hospital. She was born July 10, 1967, in St. Joseph, daughter of Dixie and Richard “Dickie” Matthews. She graduated from DeKalb High School and worked as the bus driver for the DeKalb and Rushville Schools. She liked her animals, dogs, goats, and chickens, watching the KC Chiefs and Nascar, and driving the kids on the bus.

Aneia was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Marriott, of the home; sons, Caleb Marriott, of DeKalb, Riley (Nikki) Marriott, of Jamestown, Tennessee; stepson, Jimmy (Amy) Marriott; and stepdaughter, Jessica Marriott; grandchildren, Sol and Sora Marriott, Lauren, Garrett and Emma Marriott, and Ashton Clayton; brothers, Brian, of Savannah, Missouri, Chris and Eric Matthews, both of St. Joseph; sister, Marlene (Kevin) Koehler, of De Kalb; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Westlawn Cemetery.
