Marcia Ann (Layland) Brown, 80, joined her beloved husband, Merlin, in heaven on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Marcia married Merlin Brown in 1962 and together they built a life centered on their faith in Christ and family.

Marcia was a secondary education teacher until she found her calling in nursing, first at Woodson Children’s Psychiatric Hospital and then retiring from the State Psychiatric Hospital.

She is survived by daughter, Laura (Eric) Elder; son, Robert (Jami) Brown; grandchildren, Greggory (Noelle) Hazelrigg, Blake (Zach) Elder, Austin (Keelyn) Elder, Zach Brown and Briana Brown; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Gabriel and Brynlee Hazelrigg; and many friends who she loved like family.

Farewell Services 11 a.m. Friday, Turning Point Church of the Nazarene. The family will gather with friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to Turning Point Church of the Nazarene.
