Davis, Delora L. 1923-2024 Cameron, Mo.

CAMERON, Mo. – Delora Lorene Davis, 101, of Cameron, Missouri, passed away on June 17, 2024. She was born on March 18, 1923, in Moorhead, Iowa, to Leslie and Gladys (Nuzum) Outhouse. They preceded her in death.

Delora was a 1940 Soldier High School graduate. Delora married David Lyle Davis Dec. 22, 1945, in Moorhead. She worked in the Cameron school’s cafeteria and then as a nurse’s aide for Cameron Hospital for many years.

Delora is preceded in death: husband, Lyle Davis; son, Edward Davis; sisters, Donna Shaffer and Doris Mann; brother, David Outhouse; nieces, Bonnie Jean and Roxanne Shaffer and Rhonda Mann Boyd.

She is survived by son, Robert Davis and wife, Susan, Berea, Kentucky; two daughters, Ione Stowell and husband, Doug, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and DeAnn Nieman, Cameron; daughter-in-law, Elaine Calder Davis, Kingston, Missouri; sister, Dorothy Poling Howard, Rapid City, South Dakota; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Poland-Thompson Chapel. Visitation, 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 21. Burial, Cameron Memory Gardens, Cameron.
