Janice Lynn Hinkle, 70, St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

She was born July 5, 1953, in St. Joseph, to Moraice and Helen (Brown) DeVore.

Janice married Charles “Bus” Hinkle on Oct. 27, 1979. He survives of the home.

Janice loved going to Las Vegas and visiting her sister in San Francisco.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Donna Salazar.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Bus; sisters, Sonja Morgan and Judy Morgan; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bandit.

The family would like to thank her niece, Sheryl Leidy, as well as Mosaic Hospice and the Care Just for You caregivers, for the excellent care they gave to Janice during her illness.

The family will gather with friends 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Private Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the St. Joseph Animal Shelter.
