Nold, Janet A. 1933-2024 St. Joseph, Mo.

Janet Ann Nold, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away June 12, 2024. Janet was born Oct. 21, 1933, in Bendena, Kansas.

She married Leslie John “LJ” Nold on Nov. 8, 1953, in St. Joseph, at the English Lutheran Church, and he survives. Also surviving are son, Nelson Nold (Kathie); daughter, Jennifer Jackson (Jamie), Krista Doyle (Tim); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, David Peterson (Marilyn); daughter-in-law, Cathy Nold; other relatives and friends.

Preceding Janet in death were her mother, Golda Peterson; father, Chris Peterson; son, Stephen Nold; grandson, Leslie Nold III; two granddaughters, Kelsey Nold, Hannah Doyle; and brother, Ronnie Peterson.

Janet was a member of Central Christian Church. She was a bookkeeper and farm wife and loved spending time with the grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, June 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
