Jacob “Jake” Lyle Bokay, 36, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his home in St. Joseph. He was born May 20, 1988, in St. Joseph, son of Mary and Terrance Bokay. He graduated from Central High School. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, playing football, hanging out with his friends and telling stories.

Jake is survived by his parents; two sons, Harley and Jayden Bokay; sisters, Sarah Bokay (Christpher Goehring), and Ashley (Matthew) Grunert, of St. Joseph; paternal grandmother, Connie Bokay, of St. Joseph; four nephews; two nieces.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. He will be cremated following the services under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
