Darrel Sun Brown, 38, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, in St. Joseph. He was born Feb. 21, 1986, in St. Joseph, son of Un Suk and Darrel Brown. He graduated from Benton High School and worked at Garbology trash service. Darrel served in the United States Air Force for three years. He enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, playing corn hole, darts, and pool, canoe trips, and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and his kids. His family was his life.

Darrel is survived by his parents; sons, Preston Brown and Bryndan Brown; companion, Lauren Beaver and her children, Jayden, Emilynn, and Jezlyn, all of St. Joseph; sister, Jennifer (Bobby) Larson, of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services 10 a.m. Saturday June 15, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, preacher Greg McCurley officiating. The interment will be at the Ashland Cemetery.
