Armfield, Sharon L. 1942-2024 St. Joseph, Mo.

Sharon L. “Sherri” Armfield, 81, of St. Joseph passed away May 6, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Maryville, Missouri, on Nov. 20, 1942, to the late Edgar and Marjorie (Hardin) Mallory.

Sharon grew up in King City, Missouri, and graduated from King City High School in 1960

She married Luther Armfield on Dec. 27, 1960. He preceded her in death in 2022, after 61 years of marriage.

Sharon loved dogs and horses and enjoyed all forms of auto racing, especially dirt track.

Sharon was a member of the Buchanan County Women’s Democratic Club until her health no longer allowed.

She is survived by her daughter, Karla Armfield, and son, Mallory Armfield, and grandchildren.

Mrs. Armfield has been cremated under the direction of the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.

Graveside service and inurnment 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Fairport Cemetery, in Fairport, Missouri. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
