Sharalyn E. Grundberg, 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 26, 2024, at her home in St. Joseph.

Sharalyn was born to Lee and Esther Johnson, of Isanti, Minnesota, on June 5, 1940. She married Richard B. Grundberg on April 28, 1962. She attended the University of Minnesota and Missouri Western. Sharalyn moved to St. Joseph in 1979. She worked at St. Joseph News Press in marketing and then went on to St. Joseph Light and Power where she retired after approximately 30 years of service as an energy consultant. She enjoyed traveling and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Ernest Johnson; mother, Esther Theresia Johnson; her sister, Sharon Hulda Johnson; and her husband, Richard B. Grundberg.

Sharalyn is survived by her sister, Karen Johnson; sons, Michael Grundberg and David (Nancy) Grundberg; five grandchildren, Steven Grundberg, Andi Grundberg, Eric Grundberg, Lauren (Lute) Atieh and Landon Grundberg; four great-grandchildren, Kaylen Turner, Brayden Grundberg, Alexander Grundberg and Ari Atieh; several cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family; friend and caregiver, Shelly Vaughn.

Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
