Paul Berton Whetstine, 68, of Troy, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph.

Paul was born on Feb. 21, 1956, in St. Joseph, to William B. and Doreene (Deatherage) Whetstine.

He graduated from Troy High School in 1974. Paul was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Troy, and the Local 101 Operators Union, St. Joseph.

Paul married Jerre Anne Marriott on Feb. 7, 1976, in Fanning, Kansas. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Misty Whetstine; and nephew, Travis Whetstine.

Additional survivors: sons, Heath Whetstine (Melissa), Tyler Whetstine (Sarah), and Blaine Whetstine (Kristin); 11 grandchildren; siblings, Sharon Myers (Tim), Denice Franken (Kelly), Lisa Bembrick (Mike), Bruce Whetstine (Sandy), William B. Whetstine and Brenda Robinson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, Troy. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the church. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy. Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy.
