Michael Wayne “Biggie” Russell, 43, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, in St. Joseph. He was born Oct. 29, 1980, in St. Joseph, son of Mary and Michael Russell. He attended Benton High School.

Biggie enjoyed painting and was a fixer of many things. He was a strong, independent and an amazing dad and loved spending time with his girls and attending concerts. Biggie was a Christian and had recently accepted Christ into his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include daughter, Brooklyn Russell; step-daughter, Kaylee Callaway; brother, Danny Teed; uncle, Don Russell; his best friend and mother of his daughter, Erika Walters; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr. Russell has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Biggie’s home, 7001 Ollmeda St., St. Joseph.
