ENFIELD, Conn. – Beloved son, brother, and friend, Stephen Michael Lindensmith, 39, died unexpectedly and peacefully at his home in Enfield, Connecticut, on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Stephen was born on Aug. 15, 1984, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and grew up one of six children in Earlysville, Virginia. He was a graduate of Albemarle High School. He attended Lipscomb University, in Nashville, Tennessee, and was a Navy veteran. He received his associate degree in avionics from Blue Ridge Community College, in Virginia, and was employed by Gulfstream Avionics, in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Stephen loved his family, his music, and his dogs, Radar and Gizmo.
He was dearly loved by and is survived by his parents, Mark and Gaytha Lindensmith, Fort Defiance, Virginia, formerly of St. Joseph; his five siblings and their families; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Vogel; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a memorial service for Stephen at Cherry Avenue Christian Church, in Charlottesville, Virginia, at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2024. The family will have a private burial service at a later date.
The Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater, Virginia, is handling the arrangements to have Stephen brought home. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
