COLUMBIA, Mo. – Margaret Elaine Mallen, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away March 24, 2024. Margaret was born Jan. 19, 1948, in St. Joseph, to Ermit C. and Catherine S. (Karl) Buhman.

Prior to retirement she served as an office manager for a network of automotive dealerships. As a hobby, she also owned and operated her own seamstress shop.

Survivors include her husband, Robert McClellan, of the home; two sons, Joseph Patrick Mallen (Julie), Brad Thomas Mallen (Angel); grandchildren, Kylynn, Kobyn, Emma, Alana, and Drake; sister, Jeanette Brown (David); brothers, Ken Buhman, Larry Buhman (Marcia), Gayle Buhman (Michele, Chris Buhman (Charlotte); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Margaret had been a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Hurlingen, Missouri. She loved playing cards with her friends, and especially enjoyed the University of Missouri sporting events (MIZ-ZOU).

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The rosary will be recited 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, with visitation following until 8 p.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
