Harry Fabian Calvert, 94, of St. Joseph, passed away March 22, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born April 19, 1929, in Andrew County, Missouri, to James Perry and Elsie Fern (Wilson) Calvert.

He worked 35 years as a forklift driver for Affiliated Food from 1954 to 1989. He married Lois Mae Hudson on Aug. 21, 1948. They were married for 44 years before her death.

Also preceding him in death were his children, Larry, Judy, Richard, Terry; grandson, Brian; siblings, Forrest, Herbert, James, Esther, Vanita, Joseph, Evelyne, Mary, and Wanda.

Survivors include daughters-in-law, Janet and Loretta Calvert; son-in-law, Thomas McMillian; grandchildren, Larry Jr., Aaron, Jannel, Tommie, Mindy, Brandy, Ashley, Satoya, Richard Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Services will be Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Visitation will precede the funeral beginning at 11 a.m. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
