MOUND CITY, Mo. – Ramona “Cookie” Shields, 80, Mound City, Missouri, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2024.

She was born July 21, 1943, to Campbell C. and Gladys I. (Montgomery) Collins, in Oregon, Missouri.

Ramona was cook/librarian at Nodaway-Holt School. She was also a cook at several restaurants, including the Maitland Nutrition Site.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lavona Russell; and brother, Cam Collins.

Survivors include her children, Brandon Shields and Charles Wayne Shields; siblings, Herman Collins (Connie) and Lynett Bingaman; sister-in-law, Connie S. Collins; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Cremation under the direction of Simplify Cremations & Funerals. Private family service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to the Plattsburg Nutrition Site, 113 N. Main Street, Plattsburg, MO 64477.
