Janet Lou Savage 69, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in a Wathena, Kansas, health care center. She was born Jan. 28, 1955, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Goldie and Wiley Lee. She worked at Uniland, Bodyguard, and had her own daycare in her home. Janet enjoyed Bingo, garage saling, thrift stores, she was a huge Elvis fan, and she loved little dog Violet Rose.

Janet was preceded in death by parents; husband, Glenn Leroy Savage; companion, Darrell Shannon; eight siblings: Doris Brown, George Henry Lee, Billy Lee, Barbara “Dot” Badgett, Helen Lee, Franklin Lee, Jonie Talbott, amd Joe Lee Sr.

Survivors include daughter, Bellissia Savage; son, Roy Savage; stepdaughter, Misty (George) Kyle, all of St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Sharon Spigiel officiating. The Interment will be at the Bethel Cemetery DeKalb, Missouri.
