RUSHVILLE, Mo. – Wesley Wayne Wynkoop, 53, of Rushville, Missouri, died on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions to help with final expenses may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Wesley was born Aug. 2, 1970, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of William Wynkoop and Betty (Morris) Hinson. After graduating Dekalb, Missouri, High School in 1989, Wesley started out working in the car business, and later worked at VP/BBNA in St. Joseph for 21 years. Wesley married Rene Cook on May 1, 1993. He valued helping those in need and encouraged people to pay it forward. He was a lifelong Chiefs fan and enjoyed convincing others to be as well. Chiefs attire at the visitation is encouraged.

Survivors include his wife Rene; daughter, Olivia; three sons, Jacoby, Patrick and Jackson; brother, Eddie Wynkoop; four sisters, Catrina Blakemore, Tina Wynkoop, Kim Turnquist and Wendy Shryock; and a large extended family.

His parents and twin brother, William Wade Wynkoop, preceded him in death. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
