Mary Kay Reid, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. She was born May 1, 1948, in Amity, Missouri, daughter of Elizabeth and Herman Parsons. She graduated from Maysville High School, class of 1966. On August 23, 1969, she married Marvin Reid Jr. in St. Joseph.

Mary Kay was an excellent cook. She loved working with flowers and watching her game shows. She was a spiritual woman who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mary Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Marvin Reid Jr. in 2020; sisters, Evelyn Mapel, Marjorie Leslie, Jean Ann James; and brother-in-law, Milt Berger.

Survivors include sons, Marvin Reid III, of St Joseph, and Chris (Kathy) Reid, of Peculiar, Missouri; sister, Betty (Jim) McIntosh of St. Joseph; sister-in-law, Sharon Berger, of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home with Interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Rupp Funeral Home.

Memorials are requested to American Diabetes Association.
