Freddie E. Ritter Sr., 74, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.

He was born Sept. 20, 1949, to Eugene and Willie in Paragould, Arkansas.

Freddie enjoyed being the business owner of Ritter Tree Service for over 50 years. He always enjoyed being outside and on-the-go. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff Ritter; grandchild, Tyler Payne; and sibling, Jerry Ritter.

Survivors include his children, Freddie Jr., Jerry, Kathy, Ronnie, and Brian Ritter; grandchildren, Nikki (Brandon), Kayla, Thomas (Tresity), Jacob, Nick, Jeremy, Seth, Michael, Aariah, Lashay, Libby, Blayton, Bryson, and Regan; great-grandchildren, Braylon, Lincoln, Hudsyn, Ace’Lynn, Kweene, Ka’Zarah, Taisley, Dayton, Erileaina, Zayah, Drayven, Maddie, and Zoey.
