Charles Andrew Donaldson, 31, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, in St. Joseph. He was born June 22, 1992, in Atchison, Kansas, son of Paula and Albert Donaldson Jr. He attended Benton High School. Charles worked at Albaugh Industries. He was a skilled mechanic and problem solver. He was a quiet and gentle soul, and his world revolved around his kids.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Haylie Jo Derry.

Survivors include: his parents, Albert and Paula Donaldson; his children, Andrew, Adalie, Braylie, and Kenzlie Donaldson; the mother of Braylie and Kenzlie, Kayla Williams; his brothers, Michael (Beth) Donaldson, of St. Joseph, Thomas (Rachael) Donaldson, of Eagle River, Alaska, Albert Donaldson III, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Joseph (Mellissa) Donaldson, of St. Joseph; sister, Jackie Donaldson, of St. Joseph.

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home with Interment following at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
