Bonham, Joanna R. 1940-2024 St. Joseph, Mo.

Joanna Ruth Bonham, 83, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at a local health care facility. She was born Sept. 1, 1940, in St. Joseph, daughter of Verrill and Floyd Hessemyer. Joanna graduated from Central High School, class of 1958, and Stephens College, class of 1960. She married Gary Bonham on June 6, 1964, in St. Joseph. Joanna loved animals, especially her poodles. She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Ashland United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents and husband, Gary Bonham.

Survivors include son, Galen Bonham, daughter, Jenny Galloway, both of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Benjamin, Gabriel and Jolie Galloway.

Ms. Bonham has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
