Barbara Ann (Archdekin) Pasley, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. She was born on Aug. 14, 1933, in St. Joseph, to James “Ray” and Rose (Nold) Archdekin. She attended a one-room schoolhouse in Andrew County and graduated from Central High School. She then attended and graduated from Guards Business School and started her career in business working at Ford Motor Company.

Barbara married Lloyd Pasley on June 8, 1952, in St. Joseph, and moved to Laguna Beach, California, for a few years before returning to St. Joseph. She spent most of her career in banking as a vice president and investment advisor for U.S. Bank. She loved traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the U.S. Bank Alumni program.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Rose Archdekin; and siblings, Ray Archdekin, James “Jim” Archdekin and Carol Yoder.

Survivors include husband, Lloyd Pasley, of the home; sister, Elaine OBanion, of Surprise, Arizona; son, Lynn (Dixie) Pasley, of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter, Renee Beggs, of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Angela (Shawn) Elder, of St. Joseph, and Morgan (Christopher) Thomas, of Madison, Wisconsin; great-grandchild, Maddox Thomas, of Madison; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1 p.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to the Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
