Paula Rae Linder, 76, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. She was born Dec. 19, 1947, in Wathena, Kansas, daughter of Mary and Buford Patterson.

Paula graduated from Elwood High School, class of 1965. On March 7, 2009, she married Perry Linder, in St. Joseph. Paula retired in 2021 from Wal-Mart, where she spent 33 years working in the Deli. Her hobbies included traveling, enjoyed seeking out good places to eat and she never met a stranger. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Stewart.

Survivors include husband, Perry Linder, of the home; son, Neal Hatfield, of Reeds Spring, Missouri; daughter, Ramona Angel, of St Joseph; grandchildren, Tali Hatfield, Tasha Kellison, Cory Hatfield, Alex Kellison, Brandon Hatfield, Daniel Kellison, and Adam Hatfield; niece, Roxanne McCarron; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Interment following services at the Bellemont Cemetery, in Wathena.

Memorials are requested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
