Margaret “Peg” Louise Petty, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away Jan. 24, 2024, in a St. Joseph Hospital. She was born July 18, 1933, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Olive and Benny Boley.
Peg attended and graduated from Albany, Missouri, high school at the top of her class. She was a Christian. She worked at Hillyard Industries and many years at Heinies Steak House. As a housewife and mother of seven she was very busy, yet she always had time to love her family and keep the household going. Peg was a huge fan of Cardinals baseball and Chiefs football, an avid reader, fan of jeopardy and daily crossword puzzles. She also loved gardening and canning the produce.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; sons, Benny Petty and Steven Petty; brother, John Boley; and sister, Marilyn Smith.
Surviving are daughters, Debra (Paul) Vey, Cindy (Bob) Wise; sons, David (Gail Tritten) Petty, Clint Petty, and Terry (Josephine) Petty. She also is survived by loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at a later date at the High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Missouri.
