By NewsPress Now
EDWARDS, Mo. – David Bloss II, age 57, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away on Jan. 23, 2024, in Edwards, Missouri.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1966, in St. Joseph, a son of David and Ann (Fisher) Bloss.
He was united in marriage to Angela Wilson on Dec. 30, 1985, in Stewartsville, Missouri. They shared 38 years together before his passing.
David honorably served his country as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played baseball and softball in his younger years and was a lifelong sports fan, supporting both the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs.
He was always equipped with a witty retort and the word “stranger” was never in his vocabulary. He was always there to lend a helping hand, never met a project that he couldn’t manage, and likely had the machines to be able to tackle it too (much to his grandkids’ delight).
David is survived by his wife, Angela Bloss, of the home; his son, Josh (Katie) Bloss, of St. Louis, Missouri; his grandchildren, Patrick and Jack Bloss; his mother, Ann Hardt, of Kansas City, Missouri; his father, David (Linda) Bloss, of St. Joseph; his brothers, Brent (Lee Ann) Bloss, of Overland Park, Kansas, and Eric Bloss, of Kansas City; his sister, Kandi Hardt; stepbrothers, Dennis Smith, of St. Joseph, and Bronson Herring, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; stepsisters, Rachael (Mark) Turner and Regina (Karl) Kretzer, of St. Joseph; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will gather with friends 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
