RUSHVILLE, Mo. – Our sissy, where do we start? She had the biggest heart, and love for life of anyone we know. She was an avid photographer, and loved taking photos of her beloved eagles, wildlife, the moon and sky, just about anything she could focus on. She took beautiful photos.

Her biggest wish was to make it to Alaska to see the bald eagles up close. When she was able to go see the eagles, her eyes would light up and she would get so excited, she was like a child at Christmas. She enjoyed it so much.

Jan was the pie baker in the family. Her pies were a work of art, beautiful and very delicious. Like all the Burnfins, she was a great cook.

Janice was also an artist, she painted beautiful pictures. She enjoyed watching Bob Ross on TV, and learning how to make her happy little trees. She was also very much into crafts and making things for everyone. She always kept busy doing something.

Jan was a avid farmer on Farmtown, she made many friends playing that game.

Jewelry was one of the things she loved. Wearing it, making it, buying it, she loved it. She could find a good piece of jewelry in a box of junk, she had an eye for it.

There are so many more things I could say about our sister, but in short. She loved God and country, her family and friends, and her animals. She even taught her dog to count. Her smile and laughter were contagious and she would light up any room. SHE LOVED LIFE!!

Jan was preceded in death by our parents, Wilbur and Dorothy Burnfin, and brothers, Jimmie and Randy Burnfin.

She is survived by daughter, Christina Dubach; her grandchildren, and great-granddaughter; sisters and brother, Trina Szuba, Mark and Carol Burnfin, and many nieces and nephews, and more family and friends who loved her so much. Always and forever in our hearts. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
