Robert Bob “Smokey” Henry Guinn Sr. 80, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, in a St. Joseph hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Protection, Kansas, son of the late Mary Catherine and Dallas Guinn. He married Barbara Throckmorton, on March 20, 1986 and she survives of the home.

Bob worked at Auto Salvage Business for 50 years. He enjoyed working on cars, going to church, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of the Evangelistic Temple Church.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo and Thomas Guinn.

Survivors include wife, Barbara Jean Guinn, of the home, six children; Robin Cooley (John), Robert Henry (Lauren) Guinn Jr., Nancy (Marcel) Salinus, Terry Throckmorton, Carrie Ann (Ryan) Campbell, and Barry (Cristy) Throckmorton; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virgie Dalby and Dalla Coursen; and a brother, James D. Guinn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m, on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home with Funeral services and public live stream; 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 22, 2024 at the Rupp Funeral Home.
