Noe, Clinton A. 1932-2024 Helena, Mo.

HELEN, Mo. – Clinton Arlis Noe, of Helena, Missouri, passed away Jan. 9, 2024, at Mosaic Hospital, in St. Joseph. Arlis was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Helena, to Robert E. Noe and Luvina (Miller) Noe. He grew up on the farm in Helena and never knew a stranger. He graduated from Helena High School in 1950 as a member of their last graduating class. After graduating he served during the Korean War. He married Florence Todd on May 8, 1952.
A standout baseball player in his youth, he was known for his pitching skills, winning many trophies. He helped run Noe Oil Filling station and Garage with his brother, Robert, for a short time and then began his over the road trucking and hay business. Arlis was a lifelong resident of Helena but spent most of his time on the road. He loved to travel and connect with people as he ran his hay business for over 50 years. Arlis was a member of Helena Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Todd Noe in 1969; his daughter, Sierra S. Noe in 2021; and his longtime partner, Stella Peters.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Clover Moon, of Lenexa, Kansas, Benjamin Hartley (Lacy), of Kansas City, Kansas, and Christina Hartley-Conroy, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; sister-in-law, Carol Noe; nephews, Bryan (Macey) Noe, of Platte City, Missouri, David (Bobbie Jo) Noe, of Gower, Missouri; nieces, Melissa (John) Wells of Kansas City, and Jennifer (Shannon) Hess. He also had many cousins and too many friends to count.
Family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at 11 a.m. A Private Interment with full military honors will be held. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
