CONROE, Texas – Shirley Ann Davis, 95, Conroe, Texas, formerly of Oak, Missouri, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2023.

She was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Oak, Missouri, to Bert and Ethel (Anderson) Young. She was a 1946 graduate of Maysville, Missouri, High School and attended Beauty School for one year.

Shirley married Thomas Wayne Davis on Dec. 3, 1948. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2011.

She owned a beauty shop for three years in St. Joseph, then worked for Mary Kay Cosmetics for 13 years in Dallas, Texas.

Shirley was a member of Oak Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas; her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Donald Young; and sisters, Verna Winona Davis and Imo Jean Parkhurst.

Survivors include her sons, Tim Davis (Vicki) and Ken Davis (Debbie); four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
