Noland, Howard F. 1943-2024 Easton, Mo.

EASTON, Mo. – Howard Francis Noland, 80, of rural Easton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care, in St. Joseph. He was born June 30, 1943, in St. Joseph, son of Melba and George Noland. He was raised and attended school in the Easton area. He married Donna Hampton on March 25, 1965, in Troy, Kansas. In May of 1965 he joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country. He retired as an E-9 Command Master Chief at Top Gun in San Diego, California. Howard carried his skills on to work at American Airlines and TWA, where he retired as a Aviation Mechanic.
Howard was a family man, devoted to his wife for 47 years and a loving and generous father. While a man of few words, when he spoke there was wisdom and humor. In his later years, his life and love was the farm. He also loved his cars and tinkering with them.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Noland, in 2012; siblings, Charles Noland, Linda Brown, Michael Noland, Deborah Day, and an infant brother.
Survivors include daughter, Shawna Noland, of Easton; brother, Walter Noland, of St. Joseph; granddaughters, Bria and Olivia Kirby; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Noland has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home. Military Funeral Honors will be performed at 6:45 p.m.
