Edward Shepard, 83, St. Joseph, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2023.

He was born May 23, 1940, in Clay County, Missouri, to Seba and Lillian (Stock) Shepard.

Edward married Shirley Dee Parker on May 23, 1992. She survives of the home.

He was a union carpenter for many years.

Edward loved fishing, his dogs, riding motorcycles, and watching Westerns. An ornery fellow, he enjoyed a good joke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Norman, Lyle, Lloyd and Everett Shepard; and an infant sister.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Shirley; his children, Shaun Shepard (Michelle), Niki Paollilo, Mike Powell (Connie), and Tina Owens; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his beloved dogs, Tucker and Hailey.

Natural Farewell under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
