Members of the military will receive a shout out at the 2025 Apple Blossom Parade, which has “Salute” as its theme.

The parade is set for Saturday, May 3, and will start at 9:30 a.m. at Noyes and Frederick before heading Downtown. Entries are now being accepted.

“The theme this year celebrates all branches of our military especially those who call St. Joseph home,” Executive Director Michelle Wolfe said.

All parade entries, which can include motorcycles, cars, trucks, trailers or wagons, must be decorated and should include this year's theme. The Apple Blossom website at www.appleblossomparade.com has a list of recommendations for people to follow in preparing their entries.

More importantly, organizers hope to see an increase in the number of floats in the parade.

The grand prize for the float that best represents the parade theme will be $1,000, with second place receiving $500.

The parade entry deadline is April 15 and all entry forms and fees will be submitted digitally. The entry fee is $125 for nonprofits, political candidates running for office and other individuals. The cost is $175 for all commercial and for-profit entries.

Parade entry forms will be available online in early March at the Apple Blossom website at www.appleblossomparade.com or by calling 816-259-6086.

Organizers also are looking for a sponsor for the 2025 parade. The sponsor fee is $2,500 and the sponsor will have their entry in the VIP section, logo on our website and in all media announcements. Those interested should contact Wolfe at 816-259-6086 or email appleblossomparade@yahoo.com.

Applications also are available on the website for the annual Apple Blossom pageant, which will be March 29.
