The Missouri Department of Transportation shared on Monday morning that drivers need to find alternate routes to Belt Highway instead of accessing Karnes Road.

MoDOT sent a press release to News-Press NOW on Monday, Jan. 27: “The intersection of U.S. Route 169 (Belt Highway) and Karnes Road in St. Joseph is closed due to a vehicle crash that caused extensive damage to the traffic signal mast arm.”

”Traffic on Karnes Road will not be able to access the Belt Highway. Traffic on the Belt Highway will not be able to access Karnes Road. Traffic will be able to use the Belt Highway in both directions,” the press release continued.

Additionally, MoDOT stated that they have no timeline for repair completion or when drivers can once again access Karnes Road.
