United Way offers guide for holiday volunteering, donating

If you’re looking to help those in need this holiday season with donations of money, items or just your time, the United Way can point you in the right direction.

The agency has compiled a guide of holiday-specific opportunities in the 2024 United Way Holiday Volunteer and Giving Guide.

Whether you want to volunteer as a group or an individual, there are plenty of opportunities in the St. Joseph area. Local organizations need help with everything from holiday store setup and shopping helpers to preparing meals.

Some opportunities are just one-time events while others offer chances to volunteer throughout the holiday season.

The 2024 United Way Holiday Volunteer and Giving Guide can be found at stjosephunitedway.org. Volunteer opportunities also can be found on the agency’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles.

The United Way supports 17 partner agencies and operates seven initiatives in the St. Joseph area.
