United Way of Greater St. Joseph has announced the dates for its annual Stuff the Bus school supplies drive.

The 2024 Stuff the Bus event will take place 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 at both St. Joseph Walmart locations at 4201 N. Belt Highway and 3022 S. Belt Highway.

The annual campaign works to provide school supplies to students in need as the school year starts.

St. Joseph community members have been invited to help volunteer to pick up new school supplies that will be distributed to children in August.

All kinds of school supplies are needed, from backpacks, to crayons, to construction paper.

Since the program began in 2009, over 280,000 school supplies have been given to area children and schools.
