The Albrecht Kemper Museum of Art will host an evening of swing dancing and dinner Sept. 14.

St. Joseph residents can experience fine dining and dancing lessons all while surrounded by local and national art. Guests will receive a 30-minute beginner lesson on swing dancing taught by professional dancer Joe Pilgrim, followed by a gourmet dinner courtesy of Gina’s Cafe and Catering.

The menu will consist of an appetizer trio including a Cobb salad with deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail shooters and fried green tomatoes. For the entree, guests can expect beef medallions, duchess potatoes and wilted chard with honey roasted tomatoes. There will also be a cash bar available for those 21 and over.

Tickets are $75 and include the lesson as well as dinner. The doors open at 5 p.m. with the lesson beginning at 5:30 p.m. and dinner being served at 6 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit the museum’s website at albrecht-kemper.org.
