Charges filed in St. Joseph drug bust



ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Three St. Joseph men face drug charges stemming from an investigation between two local law enforcement agencies.
Officers with the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force and St. Joseph Police Department Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant at 2801 Angelique St. on Feb. 28, seizing cocaine, methamphetamine and more than 10 grams of fentanyl.
Clayton Martin, Caleb Martin and Jarod Enriquez all were served with pending warrants, and each was charged with separate offenses related to the Feb. 28 incident.
“Once again, the cooperation between law enforcement agencies has allowed drugs to be taken off the streets and charges to be brought against these defendants,” said Captain Shawn Collie of the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force.
Clayton Martin, 24, is charged with second-degree trafficking and possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond. In another case, he is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon and has a $5,000 cash and $25,000 surety bond.
Enriquez, 23, is charged with second-degree trafficking and possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond. He is also being detained on probation violation of possession of controlled substance case where he has a warrant where no bond is allowed.
Caleb Martin, 20, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $7,500 cash-only bond. He also has a warrant for failure to appear from the City of Gower, Missouri.
All three are being held in the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center.
