New details about the design of St. Joseph’s first QuikTrip have been revealed in anticipation of the popular convenience store’s arrival in 2025.

City officials provided News-Press NOW with a detailed site plan for the layout of QuikTrip’s new Frederick Boulevard store on Wednesday.

One of the biggest questions asked by the public is how traffic flow in and out of the store might look. Site plans show QuikTrip will have one 36-foot-wide opening built for vehicles to both enter and exit the store from Frederick Boulevard.

Eastbound Frederick Boulevard will see a portion widened in front of the store to allow for a right-turn lane to be built in, one that should boost traffic flow. The store will be located at the back end of the property.

Close to 50 parking spots will be constructed. St. Joseph’s QuikTrip will have store entrances located on the east, west and north sides along with two tables out front where patrons can relax.

When it comes to fueling up, the convenience store will feature 10 dual-facing gasoline pumps, allowing for up to 20 drivers to get gas at one time. Fueling stations will be located north of the property directly in front of the main entrance. A large canopy will cover the fuel pumps.

As part of the project, a new sidewalk will be constructed along the east side of the property to boost foot traffic and connect it to the sidewalk on Frederick Boulevard.

QuikTrip officials are hopeful to have the new 5,300-square-foot convenience store under construction this summer and up and running by early 2025.
