A local enthusiast is sharing her passion for monarch butterflies in a special program on Saturday at the St. Joseph Public Library’s Downtown branch.

Master Gardener Tracy Svec will bring pictures and videos to her presentation at 2 p.m. on Sept. 7 at 927 Felix St. The program is free and open to the public.

Svec will discuss the threatened species and what people can do to help the butterflies thrive.

Those with disabilities who wish to participate in the program can call the library’s ADA coordinator at 816-232-4038.
