Experienced teaching artists are needed for workshops at the St. Joseph Public Library.

Those who specialize in painting, ceramics, drawing or jewelry making arts are being sought to conduct workshops that involve a minimum of eight sessions for older adults at the East Hills Library.

The workshops will be planned with the programming librarian, and chosen artists will receive an instructional fee in addition to being paid for preparation and planning. This is a pilot project which has the potential to expand.

Those interested in being a teaching artist should send an e-mail to emurray@sjpl.lib.mo.us with “Potential Teaching Artist” as the subject line. Attach a resume with teaching experience, an artist CV, and an artist statement which talks about your interest and/or experience in working with older adults.

Resumes are due by noon on Monday, July 15.
