Rolling Hills Library hosting chess tournament

Chess players can test their skills at an upcoming event at the Rolling Hills Library.

Players of all ages and skill levels can participate in the library’s first-ever chess tournament on Saturday, June 8. The free event begins at 10 a.m. in the Belt Branch Upper Story, 1906A along with an open section for those who are not USCF members.

Players can register online at events.rhcl.org/event/10041386 or at 9 a.m. on the day of the tournament.

Awards will be handed out at 5 p.m. and consist of first-, second- and third-place medals for each section with an additional prize for first place in each section.
