Author to bring message of kindness to Saturday library talk

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The author of a children's book focusing on kindness will be in St. Joseph this weekend for a special event. 

Julia Cook, the author of “Will You Be the I in Kind,” will give a presentation at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the East Hills Library, 502 N. Woodbine Road.

The book will be available for purchase and signing following the presentation.

Cook's visit is sponsored by the Noyes Home Kindness St. Joseph event. The first Kindness St. Joseph event is set for 6 p.m. March 29 at the East Hills Shopping Center courtyard and will honor area residents for their kindness and positive impact.

Cook, who also is a counselor and parenting expert, has published children’s books on a wide range of character and social development topics.
