A new year brings new leadership for the Robidoux Row Museum.

Executive Director Jeff McMillian is stepping back from his current role to join the Board of Directors making room for current Board of Director's member - Megan Wyeth to take over as Executive Director on Feb. 3.

“We have a lot to look forward to and a lot to work with,” Wyeth said. “And best of all, we have a great story to tell.”

Board of Director's member Michael Thomas will also leave his position and assume the role of Museum Coordinator, where he will work in tandem with Wyeth.

“The timing is good as well, because it is difficult to find one person to do everything that I've been doing over the last year and a half,” McMillian said. “And we have been fortunate to find two people who can split this role and play to their talents and play away from their fears and concerns.”

McMillian joined the Robidoux Row Museum a year and a half ago and said he is ready to work together with a talented Board of Directors.

“We've got a lot of people with their specific talents, and myself having now a year and a half of operational knowledge of this facility, I think that will be a really good asset to the board, to understand the day-to-day nuts and bolts,” McMillian said.

With the support of the Board of Directors, Wyeth plans to work on updating exhibits, rotating them and bringing out different pieces to show visitors.

“Their heart is in making this a better place and keeping up the momentum that Jeff helped us have,” she said.

McMillian said the museum’s collection will benefit from Wyeth’s knowledge and sense of organization and presentation.

“Megan really brings a wealth of knowledge about the history of Saint Joseph,” he said. “She's got a great network of people who care about Robidoux Row and who are looking for opportunities and ways to help us here that she brings to the table.”

Visiting museums across the country, especially museums in the Midwest, has been a lifelong hobby for Wyeth. This passion extends to the Robidoux Row Museum, as she eagerly prepares for her new position.

“I think that that's one of the reasons I'm so excited about this, because I know that we can create something really great,” she said.
