4-vehicle crash injures 2 in early morning crash

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to an early morning crash on Wednesday which involved four separate vehicles. 

According to the MSHP crash report around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday on Missouri Route 6 approximately one mile west of Trenton, Missouri, four vehicles crashed into each other causing injuries to two men from separate vehicles. 

a 32-year-old Trenton, Missouri, man was driving west on MO 6 when a 48-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man lost control on an icy bridge. 

The 32-year-old man’s Ford Ranger slid into the eastbound lanes, striking the Kansas City man’s semi-truck which caused the semi to skid east, jack knife and block both lanes of MO 6. 

A third vehicle, a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 59-year-old Trenton man struck the rear of the Ford Ranger and a fourth vehicle, a Ford Eco Sport, driven by a 25-year-old Trenton man struck the semi as it came to a rest on MO 6. 

The Eco Sport came to a rest on its wheels facing west and blocking the westbound lane of MO 6.

The Dodge came to a rest on its wheels facing south and blocking both lanes of MO 6. 

The Ford Ranger came to a rest on its wheels facing west and blocking the westbound lane of MO 6. 

The 25-year-old driver of the Eco Sport and a 52-year-old male passenger from the Dodge Caravan sustained minor injuries and were both transported by Trenton Ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital. 

MSHP was assisted at the scene by the Grundy County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Department and the Trenton Police Department.
