Missouri Western State University is honoring local women in the Federal Reserve with a display next week.

The college will present “Voices of Women in the Federal Reserve” in the Spratt Hall Atrium. The exhibit highlights the voices of current and former Missouri women from the two regional Federal Reserve banks in the state.

Their stories show how women broke through gender barriers and succeeded in the male-dominated financial services industry.

Missouri Western alumna Esther George, former president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, is featured in the display.

The display is free for the public to visit from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Nov. 4 to 8, in the Spratt Hall Atrium.

George will be honored at a reception at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
