The Mosaic Life Care Foundation received several large gifts from local private trusts, helping to propel the inspireU Children’s Discovery Center as its opening date nears.
The Harold P. Dugdale Charitable Trust, the Norman J. & Willian J. Kenney Charitable Trust and the Thanksgiving Fund each gave $100,000, according to a press release from the Mosaic Life Care Foundation. The William and Margaret Schreiber Charitable Trust gave $125,000.
The Schreiber trust donation also brings a partnership with the Noyes Home for Children. Children with the Noyes Home will be able to visit the discovery center anytime, with unlimited visits, thanks to the trust.
Foundation President Julie Gaddie said these investments will make the project’s mission of nurturing and motivating children even more possible.
“We appreciate each of these groups for their investment in this pivotal path forward in creating a welcoming space where young visitors can learn and play together while building healthy habits to last a lifetime,” she said in a press release.
The discovery center is set to open in December 2024 at 521 Felix St. in Downtown St. Joseph.
