Major accomplishments in the field of artificial intelligence and business are leading St. Joseph native Austin Ambrozi and his burgeoning company to one of the world’s leading stages for economic development.
Ambrozi, co-founder and COO of Doxci and its AI-powered document processing technology, was recently selected along with other members of the company to speak at the World Economic Forum’s general assembly in Davos, Switzerland, in January 2025.
“It’s pretty surreal … I think it’s more of a testament to how major artificial intelligence is becoming,” said Ambrozi, a 2014 Central High School graduate. “We’re on the cusp of a totally different paradigm of work, and it’s really exciting to be at the tip of the spear of that.”
For the last 50 years the forum has provided a hub for leaders in the world of business and politics to engage in discussions on improving global relations. Recent speakers include Bill Gates, secretary-general of the U.N AntĂłnio Guterres, former U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, among many others.
“I’m going to be one of the younger people there so that’s going to be interesting to navigate. But I know part of what I’ll be doing is I’ll be hosting a panel about artificial intelligence,” he said.
Doxci uses AI and other tools like natural language processing and robotic automation to read, process, and complete tasks. Company data shows it takes the average person roughly five minutes to read and process a company document. Doxci can process over 100,000 documents in the same timeframe, allowing a company to maximize efficiency and focus on other key areas to boost revenue.
Ambrozi considers the recent selection to be a defining accomplishment for the rapidly-developing company that was founded in 2022. Ambrozi was invited to the Kennedy Space Center on Sept. 19 in Merritt Island, Florida, where the announcement was made as part of an event streamed on Apple TV.
“There were some of the brightest minds that I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting, former chief operating officer of the White House, Mark Lindsey was there,” he said. “It just really got me excited for January in Davos.”
Doxci is a subsidiary company of Ambrozi and fellow co-founder Isaac Hicks’ parent company called Autonomi. The organization was created to help small businesses reach enterprise level through automated processes, with Doxci quickly taking off.
A fully-remote company, Doxci now has 15 to 17 employees currently. He sees the WEF as a remarkable opportunity to amplify their already growing international footprint and foster new partnerships.
“We just finalized the terms of a contract for the biggest deal in the history of the company with a government in the Middle East. I can’t say which one currently, but it’s an exciting region,” he said.
Ambrozi was inducted into the 2023 Forbes Business Council last May for his entrepreneurial work with artificial intelligence.
Looking ahead, the company is focused on expanding Doxci’s capabilities and making implementation of the technology as easy as possible for businesses, companies and governments.
From humble beginnings in St. Joseph to an international trajectory, Ambrozi’s appreciation is obvious when speaking about the cutting edge technology and people he gets to surround himself with now.
“I grew up in a one bedroom house on Jules Street … I’ve been chasing this dream for a long time. it does not matter where you come from, does not matter if there’s nothing holding you back,” he said.
