South Side water main break slowing traffic

Drivers will encounter traffic delays in the area of King Hill Avenue and Lake Boulevard due to a water main break.

An official with the city’s streets department said the break happened at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday and the road is down to one lane. Crews from Missouri American Water will be working on repairs, which are expected to take six to eight hours, said Christie Barnhart, senior manager of external communications with Missouri American.

The break impacts less than 20 customers and there is no boil advisory in effect, Barnhart said.
